I can only say good things about the organiser and our guide Helton. They took all our special requests into account when planning the trip and made everything possible. We always felt well looked after during the hike. We had a lot of close contact with the locals along the way and sometimes stayed in homestead accommodation. It was very nice because it felt very untouristy! We often felt like we were at the end of the world. However, some of the hiking trails are not suitable for inexperienced hikers who are not sure-footed. We would recommend the hiking tour across the island of Santo Antao to anyone who wants to experience something new and see few tourists.
